In this segment, Caitlin shows us the beginning of two powerful pieces “passing favors,” and “woman crushing demonhood.” Maybe I’m revealing too much about myself in the interpretation here, but both, interestingly, as I interpret them, deal with control. “Passing favors” shows the literal brightness women pass as they serve and highlights the deliberateness and power in those actions, and “woman crushing demonhood,” reveals that despite the battle, it is the woman who holds all the power and “can’t get me.” In addition to addressing these works in progress, Caitlyn talks about mentally preparing for a painting which reminded me the importance of mentally preparing for the challenges, tasks, development, or focus I want to have for each day in order to progress and live a deliberate, more meaningful life.
