How do you get to the point where you trust “it will all work out?” What does the creative process show us about that idea? What does it mean to do the work and what does it mean to recharge? When do you choose the one, when the other? Is there a process of just being? These are the ideas that Caitlin reveals as we look through her sketchbooks, sketches, and sheer volume of work. She’s been drawing, sketching, painting, thinking, feeling, doing, for a long time and she has definitive insight on what works and what doesn’t.

“The arts. . . are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possible can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.”~Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country
