How long does the program take?
There is no set amount of time to move through Path. Path is built around a “go at your own pace” philosophy. We encourage people to take whatever time they need - and not to rush or go too fast. Do what you can when you can.
Is PATH a kind of therapy?
No, it is not. Our online video courses are completely educational, based on the best available research. However, for those who are looking for more support Path does offer specialized therapy through our curated network of qualified therapists. When available, we encourage people seeking therapeutic advice to connect with a counselor or other professional. Many individuals who are working with a therapist use Path as a complementary tool for their overall healing.
What's the difference between therapy and coaching?
Coaches and therapists serve very different roles.
Our therapists are trained to help their clients understand, process, and heal from complex trauma, addiction, emotional, and attachment issues. They will help you dig in to the roots of the issue and give you the tools and safety to move through the pain, hurt, and intense emotions that sometimes will arise.
Our coaches are focused on your future. They're focused on helping your move forward by setting goals, keeping you motivated, and directing your experience on Path to ensure you're getting the most from the available resources.
Who are your therapists?
All of the therapists in our network are licensed and have been personally trained by our clinical team. We require an additional 12 weeks of training to become certified to work with our clients.
Our therapist training and certification assure true specialization in treating sexual addiction, betrayal trauma and the suffering relationships.
Who are your coaches?
All of our coaches are people who have been where you are. They've been through our program, worked their own recovery, and have completed an 8 week training by our clinical staff.
Their real life experience, recovery, and training give them a unique understanding of recovery. They will be by your side to help you set goals, keep you motivated, and direct you to the most helpful courses so you can discover your path.
Does Path take a specific philosophical approach?
Path focuses on treating sexually based addictions. We are focused on helping those struggling with sexually based addictions to build recovery capital, i.e, internal and external assets and resources that will initiate and sustain long-term recovery. We combine our clinically validated sex addiction research with proven therapeutic recovery processes to restore belief and build habits.
