How are you doing with your commitment to take some time for yourself? For many, self-care sounds like a great idea in theory, but it ends up not feeling super practical. This week at Bloom, we have all sorts of practical resources for nurturing your body and your mind.

First, we have updated our “Yoga for Healing” online sessions with our certified yoga therapist, Sariah Hoffman. We are bringing you three new classes that can help you strengthen both your body and your mind. Our online yoga courses are specifically designed for those working through Betrayal Trauma.

Research has shown that learning to use your body to calm your mind in traumatic situations provides the best healing. Yoga alleviates traumatic stress symptoms and helps you feel at peace in your own body. During these yoga sessions, you will feel secure and free from judgment, expectation, and competition.

With over 500 hours of yoga therapy training, join Sariah Hoffman as she teaches you how to start cultivating a welcoming relationship with your body, finding peace through gentle breathing and movement. These are some of our favorite Bloom course offerings. Many of them only take twenty to thirty minutes to do. If you don’t have that much time, check out the “Breathing” course that has short four to five minute videos that focus on different kinds of breathing.

Another resource that is available to Bloom members is our forum. This is a safe, moderated place to ask hard questions and share your experiences with trauma. Sometimes all you need is to talk to someone who understands what you are going through. Periodically we will have “Ask Me Anything” live video chats with our certified therapists. If you haven’t been on the forum yet, sign up and explore.

On our Love Rice podcast, listen to how blogger Lauren McKinley came through her betrayal and subsequent divorce to become a protector, not a victim. Hear how her own experience inspired her to rebuild her life and start her blog and online community HerSoulRepair.comfor women dealing with broken marriages.

Take some time this week to get inspired, get connected, and get moving. As always, you can find supportive content on our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest pages. We hope you have a fabulous week.
